I know little or next to nothing on 57s.

Iam guessing this one i picked up is early issue due to the materials on the case construction?

I will say ... yes . Judging from the early style case and its contents.

There is quality there and the cuts on the prongs match my cased early Heeres clasp.

Nice addition .... I'm pretty sure many amongst us, 57er collectors, would like to add such piece to their collection .

Thank you Matt, I could only find one on the forum and it matched up quite well, the case is what really made me feel good though.

That's a nice and early one Dion. It matches up well with mine seen HERE. Nice find as these are not often found cased and with the long ribbon.
