    New S&L 1st pattern RK ...

Hi guys, its been quite slow here, so I'll post my latest treasure while the lighting is good for taking pix ...

Since my first 1st pattern RK, I've been hooked on these ... this being my 4th already .
Some sacrifices had to be made in order to obtain it, but IMO worth every penny.

It comes with very nice length of good quality ribbon and in original early 57er RK case.
The RK itself is "B" frame ( I assume ) and in great shape ... no thick layer of paint etc ... great details on the oaksprey !!!

Enjoy the pictures, lads .... - and thanks to Bart for selling / trading me this one !!!

    Grtz

                          Matthieu,
Looking at this very closely, I think this is a very nice and very early "C" frame, which eliminated the raised beading flaws which developed in the "B" frames struck at the very beginning of 1957 production and also eliminated the "bridge flaw" between the 6 and 9 o'clock arms. No "bleed-over" into the frame of the beading on the 9 o'clock lower arm has yet appeared, and the "dent row" on the lower 3 o'clock arm is still readily apparent. This frame, combined with the first pattern core, is yet another indicator of how early these "C" frames were put into production.

                          A very nice cross!
                          Regards,
                          Leroy

                              Hello Mathijs,

at first......this is really a great and wonderful 1st pattern RK. Very nice details on the core and the frame.

Like i wrote in another forum, i´m too thinking of looking at a VERY NICE C-frame .

Here´s the bridge flaw Leroy told about.
