Thank you Rüdiger. I knew you would appreciate a nice KM badge.
Indeed a lovely wartime Zerstörer if i may say so myself.
Actually it is an attributed one. I also have the Narvik and the "Schulterklappen" from the Inhaber. It was the badge of Paul Ehrenfried Lenkeit.
He served on the Georg Thiele. From 07/1944 till the end of the war he was the commander (Kapitänleutnant) of the U-1301. A U boot that didn't see (a lot) of action.

Great start to the new year Stijn!!! Thats one tasty looking Destroyer badge, as you said nice and early, and just the right amount of wear to give it a great "look" full of character!!
Nice comparison pic with the Schwerin wartime version, we all know how good they're badges were, so your early 57er is up against the best, but still compares pretty well!!

Wow, a 57er Narvik or TR ? Early 57er KM Narviks i haven´t seen till yet, only the modern productions
Which rank have the shoulderboards? commander ?
That is an absolutely great group
