To buy or not to buy .... the eternal question

... but have already bought it nevertheless .

As it sometimes happens you find something on eBay with blurry pix and a vague description.
You put in a low offer, expecting not to get it, but you get it anyway .

Well guys ... same story with this little lot. Advertised as 1957 RK case, ribbon and pins I took a gamble at 40 Euro and this is what I got.

Maybe better to post in the Cases & Packet forum, but I'll post here first for your response ( at least I hope so ).

Your opinions and input much appreciated as usual .

    Grtz

Bottomside ... its not like any of my later RK cases. It might be early 57er production or wartime fake ... 50/50 chance IMO.

Close-up of upper corner ... the groove (?) goes all the way round the top of the case.

Inside the case, I found these little extras ... starting with 22 cm of RK ribbon.

Close-up of the weaving ... when burning a thread it imme incinerated, so I guess its a nice and early 57er one.

When placed in the etui, still some space left, allthough the ribbon is 45 mm wide.

Here presented with 2nd pattern inside ... its not a tight fit, still quite some space left around the RK.

And the lot also came with this stickpin marked GdR ( Gemeinschaft der Ritterkreuzträger ) .
