Let's see your neatest 1957 award of 2009

OK guys, here is the 1957 version of the threads started in the 1939 crosses and imperial crosses forums.....

Let's see your neatest or favorite 1057 award acquisition of 2009!

I'll begin the thread with my early S&L EK2 with 25mm ribbon:

For me thats a tough call to make ... 2009 was a very good collecting year .

But my favourite would still be the Mühlenkamp grouping with this RK being the highlight of my collection .

2009 has been a good year for me too, lots of nice EK's, but this has got to be my best piece........medals 482.jpg A 1st pattern S & L RK, that belonged to Luftwaffe ace Ulrich Wernitz

i think you all know what has been the BEST item for me

It´s my RK attributed to Franz-Josef Dreike.
Yesterday i surprisingly got mail from the seller - with the Repro collar tabs Dreike bought after the war One more present for me

                You must choose!

How about this.....choose your two favorites, and then flip a coin?

Some great and admirable pieces and acheivements shown here my friends.

Almost every piece I have was acquired in '09 so, initially it seemed it would be somewhat of a daunting task to decide which was the "neatest." I recalled each thrilling moment in finding and acquiring each piece and it actually became quite easy.

While the RK is the pinnacle of German WWII awards, I chose my favorite '09 acquisition based on their relative rarity and the incedible feeling of satisfaction I had in aquiring each piece in what eventually made up this set. Nope, not one piece, but one set.

                  My '09 "neatest..."

It´s hard to find very early S&L u-boats but these ones are the rarest. Absolutely great one....
Mmmh, the die looks like the same as mine. Maybe we can compare these two sometimes
