    Another minesweeper :-)

It´s a good week for me Could just put this beauty in my little harbour
Another very early minesweeper with a great burnishing on the wreath and fountain. Condition is great, only the blue paint of the waves has gone a little bit.
As always, hard to take photos

I´m still waiting for another KM piece, coming from the States (my first overseas buy ) Think it will arrive next week, has been sent yesterday. After this arrival i´ll post a new group shot of my small collection.

I hope i can make new and better pics of this minesweeper and my para badge at the weekend. Will try with daylight

Isn't that just how it goes? At least you had the money ready to jump at the right time!

                  An early E-Boat perhaps???

No early e-boat, it´s a blockade runner which can surprise me or not.
At the pic you can see a short needle and a big catch. Could be the catch is replaced, or not. The finish on the front is a little bit gone by wearing, the rest is matt paint like the early ones had. So this one can surprise me with a closed hingeblock or not with an open one. I´ll see what i get. With open hingeblock this one will be a good looking filler till a very early one comes - with a closed hingeblock -> new addition
The best is ... i only paid 9€ incl. shipping Every modern piece is much more expensive than this one, so i could not make a mistake

Great new pics of the Minesweepers Badge Rudiger!!
As for the Blockade Breakers, i've seen this style before, not as early as the needle pin type, and they always seem to have that scratch or tool mark on the reverse. The ones i've seen before had a longer pin! Not sure what style of hingeblock you'll find, but at that price, its a great buy anyway!!! -Nigel

                          Thanks Nigel,
i would say it´s the second die that S&L used. All of these have these scratches on the back. At pieces from the first die the area i marked is closed.
