              Hello

An absolutely beautiful grouping Mike All of the items are good early ones as well, with added bonus of being attributed. Great set, and one that I'd be proud to have in my collection

              Regards
              David

That is what I call a great grouping . Very kind of the seller to include scans of the award documents .
Lets hope you can still score the EKII to round it all up .

Oh yeah, did I already mention that is a GREAT GROUPING !!!

FANTASTIC!! Mike, thats a really great grouping!!!!
What a guy the seller was throwing all those in for free!!!!!
All the pieces are early quality ones, the Ostmedal is in great condition, retaining its finish, the KVK2 has that great looking bronze color to it that you only find on the early pieces, and the WB is one of the nicest i've seen, again great condition!!
And so to the EK1, what an example, an early production S & L, late 50's i would think, great finish to it, look at the shine on the frame The reverse is top notch too, quality silvering, quality soldering, the same with the edges of the frame, well finished, neat soldering and filed smooth!!
As good an example of an early S & L EK1 as you could wish to find!!!
Oh, and i have'nt mentioned the core, great detail, well applied matt finish etc. etc.
As you can probably tell i love this piece
For anyone who wants to know what to look for in an early EK1, look no further than Mike's new arrival!!nicethread.gif -Nigel

The scans of the documents make this group awesome.

Thank you my friends for your kind words. What a great pleasure to have the respect and acknowledgement of your peers! It seems the seller is not only EXTREMELY generous, but also shares our respect for the collecting field in wanting to keep the group together. It seems the EKII is with an Uncle, Paul's much younger brother. The seller says he will retrieve it when possible and send it, again wanting to keep all together. He's a stand up guy!

We had BLUE skies here yesterday and some of the pics really had a blue hue. Today's cloudy so I took another couple of shots to represent the group and pieces as well as possible.

Again, thank you all for sharing my joy!

The EKII arrived today and I'm a happy camper!

The ribbon is the 25mm type. I've been wanting an EKII with milky, creamy frosting and it's here!
