    Early S&L ISA

My birthday surprise today was a nice ISA proving my wife's good taste in both men and early 57er's!

Have a look. It's a nice strike and has the small S&L circle in the upper left area of the wreath. The light was fading, so the color isn't as vibrant in the pics as in person.

            I completely agree with you.
But I have no idea what an IAM is..... type error?

Yeah, the damn 'M' is too close to the 'B' on the keyboard or I need to improve my typing skills!

Well that IAB surely beats the aftershave you were planning to get .

Looks like a bronze grade to me ... I guess I see some bronze finish on the rifle there.

Looks like a close to mint "bronze" UAB to me.

Maybe i have to calibrate my monitor because of colours but i mean there is a rest of silver on the rifle and the wreath. The bronce is the buntmetall ....
On the back the same. Seems to be well worn, as i said.

MIKE, it´s your turn - what grade do we have here

pictures can descieve very much. Maybe I have to adjust my monitor.
I just put it much lighter because I used the setup I use in the evening.

If it was a silver version, I would have expected some nice burnishing.

But it still looks bronze to me.
First I thought that some laquer has been applied like this PAB.
But the spots that have been worn look indeed more bronze/brown.

We have to wait till the only man who has it in hands will give us the answer.

Thanks for all the comments and surprisingly some debate too!

You sure are right Mathijs! Who wants stinky old aftershave???

To put all questions to rest, this is a BRONZE grade ISA/IAB with some honest wear to it. It appears to me it's been worn albeit lightly.
