    Another 2nd pattern RK ....

My fellow collectors & dear friends ...

Same as Rüdiger and his new 1st pattern RK, I had to wait quite some time before unvealing my newly acquired 2nd pattern S&L.
Coming from the same group belonging to Lt. H. Schlamber, I'm sure you can believe how happy I am with my new RK .

I've waited to take pix when we finally had some decent sunlight ... it gives the RK that all important lovely shine, I think.

    Enjoy .....

Neatly presented in case .... IMO the case & RK are a marriage as the case shows an imprint of an RK with oaks.

Frontside shot .... here & there still some frosting to be found on the beading. Anyone has an idea which type of frame this might be ?
I cant seem to find any flaws in the beading or frame .... Core is magnetic, btw.

Great 2nd pattern RK Mathijs!! How many have you got now???
This one looks to be in great condition, i think they always look better cased, even if its not the original!!
Also like the ribbon modified for wear, would be great to see a pic of him wearing it!!
Great photo's too especially the last one, bathing in the sunlightsunny.gif
Another fine addition to your collection, Congrats -Nigel

Thanks for your kind words, Nigel . In my collection I now have five 2nd pattern and "only" one 1st pattern.
A very short while ago I traded a nice, cased 2nd pattern S&L for something else .... still to be revealed here .

                          Hello

A beautiful example of the 2nd pattern new form RK I suspect that this one is from S&L (judging by the core) and has a frame made on the new die that was used after the wartime one (the one with all the flaws) was 'retired'.

                          Regards
                          David

Aaaah, wonderful to see your pics and that it arrived
A very nice 2nd pattern set you got there
Core is typical S&L and the frame...? The C-frame should have a little flaw on the 4 o´clock arm, on your pics this area is bathing in sunlight Hard to see anything there.
But there are S&L´s out there who have only a very little flaw on the 9 o´clock arm, damned hard to see - i think that is your frame
I don´t know if these frames are early or later C-frames(before or after repair)....but you have for sure a VERY NICE 2nd pattern S&L

Here are two pics of this frame - pics are from Dietrich

Its very difficult to spot, but I found some minor flaws in the frame :

+ 6 o'clock arm = leftside has some metal residue on beading
                              + 9 o'clock arm ( under ) = beading has "run through" onto frame ( difficult to translate )
+ 9 o'clock arm = left side has some metal residue on beading

The only thing you might spot on the picture is the flaw on the under 9 o'clock arm ....
