And knowing the shipping costs of the seller, also cheaper.
But it is a very nice cross, I love them worn and salty.
A very nice addition for your collection

Hello Rüdiger ... what can I say ... she is surely a beauty . Strange you had to wait so long, whats up with the Postal Services these days .
Did some little research on the enscription and seems Stalino is the old name for what now is Donetsk ( Ukraine ) : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donetsk
However I can not find any reference on the Luschina part, I assume it was an old suburb of Stalino city ....

Hi Rudiger, thats a really great EK, nice without the inscription, but with it... fantastic!! There can't be many attributable 57 EK1's, so that makes it very special!! Great catch my friend!!!!beerchug.gif
And Mathijs, nice job on the research too!!! -Nigelsigpic 57ers...."The Devil Is In The Detail"

At google i found a few persons with family name "Luschina". Doing research what this name means i found out that it´s a background name
The same as with my family name - in the past there has been a very small village in Eastprussia named "Lettau", sadly it does not existent anymore. The family name "Lettau" means "those who came from Lettau"Last edited by Seewolf; 10-04-2009, 12:14 PM.
