    New EK I with questions

Just could get this fine piece....with a question to the frame. It´s not the 57er frame, IMO a wartime frame with a 57er core....can you tell me more ? Your opinions are appreciated.

Could not get the whole group - too less money left after paying my RK

Hello Rüdiger, I also saw that wonderfull grouping for sale . I got confirmed I got hold of his cased 2nd pattern RK .
Would loved to have bought the other items as well, but as like you " no dinero ".

IMO this piece is an unmarked Deumer ( L/11 ) made from leftover war pieces.

          Deumer

I agree that it is an unmarked Deumer.

hi Rudiger, indeed a fine early unmarked Deumer, they seemed to use two styles of pin, and two styles of hingeblock on 57 Deumers, i'll try and start a thread on Deumer hardware when i get a chance!! But a very nice EK you've got, especially with the inscription and provenance!!!eusa_clap.gif -Congrats!! -Nigel

                Nice items guys

Sadly it looks like another group has been split up.

Also funny to see the differences between preferences.
If I would have bought something (wich I didn't), than I would be interested in his ribbon bar, DKig and golden CCC.

                  Nice RK Mathijs!!!
Yes its a shame to see groupings split up, but it happens, and at least some of the pieces have found good homes with guys here on the forum!!
I wonder if anyone here bought the other pieces??? -Nigel

Both crosses are S W E E T!!! EK1 does appear to be early Deumer made with wartime parts.

Thanks to you all for your comments, so it seems i finally got my very early EK I i was looking for

That´s the way it goes, i bought the EK, Mathjis the RK and another seller bought the rest of the group(the CCC,DKiG and Feldspange), so it was split to three people. But shall i stand back and think "if i do not buy this EK, the group possibly will be sold complete to one collector" ? I do not splitted this group, it was the dealer

And Mathjis, congrats to another great RK - seems you switch complete to DK´s and RK´s

...forgot to say : Paypal is great, the EK is on the way-with luck tomorrow, but latest on Monday
Seems i now need a wartime EK etui

A beautiful and early EKI Rudiger!!! Very well done to grab this one!

It is indeed sad to see a greouping split, but the almighty dollar/euro/pound, take your pick will rule the day!

So did anyone here get that beautiful DKiG or Golden CCC??? Both sold very reasonably, especially the CCC!

Because fo the time difference (I'm at work) you europeans have a distinct advantage with the updates from european dealers!!! I'm glad to see that some very nice pieces went to very good homes today!!! Congrats to Rudiger and Mathijs!!!

I agree with you, Mike. This is the 2nd grouping I've seen split up this week . From the dealers side, their aim is to make money / profit.
From our side, as collectors, complete groupings with provenance are rare and desirable, however often quite expensive.

In this particular case, I'm glad at least two items went to both Rüdiger and myself where they will be treasured for sure .
I can only hope that another forum member was able to acquire the remaining items, so it can stay in the " WAF 1957 Family ".

I only had the luck being at home on this friday. Normally i,m at work till 0600h pm. At this time all great items are sold And i had the luck to look at this dealers site, so i could grab it very fast.
At work i have no internet so i´m not able to look at the updates when i´m there - and my iphone is too slow for that

My normal working time is daily 0800h am --> 0600h pm. After that i´m on emergency service till the next day 0800h am. So i´m 24h busy, it´s hard to find private time. But they give me money for that

                              Hello

Great to see you all got a piece of the fantastic pie.

I saw the sale when i got home from Germany and frankly i was a bit disappointed because the nice early DKiG (which i'm also searching for the moment) was already sold.
The seller told me there was a lot of interest for this lot. He could have sold it 4 or 5 times he said. I hope this doesn't affect his prices.

                              Best regards

                              stijn
