Thanks for all the kind words gents. I'm just thrilled to add this wonderful piece to my humble collection! These three LW CCC's are the only ones I've seen with coke-bottle pin. I'm sure there are more out there, but these are the only ones I've personally encountered.

It is also very early, maybe the earliest, but is from a different maker. If one examines the flaws on both the eagle and oak spray are very different. This maker apparently used solder rather than rivets to attach the eagle.

Here's a shot of the backs of my Heeres CCC's. I'm still searching for a coke pin Bronze version, although this one is early with solid hinge block and early narow catch.

Haha! You are "bad" aren't you Ruduger?

Yes, that is exactly what I'm looking for to complete the set!

Interesting to see that like my LW CCC in Bronze there is no finish color on the needle.

        VERY nice clasp Rudiger!!!

Mike, I don't have much time at the moment, but just wanted to drop a note of congratulations in here. The clasp is superb, the set is great looking, and the photos are excellent! More of my observations and general rambling a but later...
              Best regards,

                Hello

That's a very desirable piece, 100% correct and very early. Beautiful burnishing, quality finish and all the facests that you would expect see. The gold LW NKS is, I believe, from the same maker as your bronze one.

What do I think? I like it, and can't find anything about it that sets any alarms ringing. If I saw one like this for sale, (and had the money to buy it at the same time), I wouldn't hesitate, and would snap it up immediately.

                Great find

                Regards
                David

Thank you David. I value your input greatly.

I agree that the Gold NKS is from the same maker as the bronze, and I believe it's S&L work. The Silver version maker is not known to me.

Well Mike, I just looked at this thread for the 20th time and I am still impressed by the quantity, rarity, early quality and the beauty of these clasps.
And you know that I am not very easy impressed.

I just love the crispy burnished LW clasps.
Here are mine, like you see I still haven't been able to find the golden version.
So if you ever find another, you know I have some nice trading stuff

I consider that quite a compliment Luud, as I know you are not one who is easily impressed.

The only way I could be more proud of these is to have actually earned them the hard way, rather than just buying them!

I like both of yours! Both are very crisp strikes and nicely burnished. I would think that these are made simultaneously (at least the eagles) as mine. Interesting as yours do not appear to have wide pins.

I noted that you stated in another thread that you have stopped using hardware to determine date of manufacture. I take it you use the quality of the strike and finishing exclusively then?
