Whats your view on this ....

    Hi guys,

With lots of time on my hands these days (), I'm searching WAF for interesting stuff. I came across two threads today, which caught my eye.

We all know that wartime parts were used for constructing 1957 badges, as the picture below shows. In my opinion the hinge & pin are Deumer ( compared to Mike's new IAB ), but only different catch. Does anyone have a 57 KvK with Deumer setup ? If so, pls post it !

But I also found another thread, showing this postwar made KvK with a 1957 issue setup. Cross is marked L58 for Souval on the pin, but too me the hardware looks more S&L. In both cases, it shows us the marriage ( for good and for worse ) between wartime / 1957 issue.
Also, if anyone has a Kvk w/o swords with S&L setup, pls do post it !

Not only wartime parts (or made with wartime dies) have been used.
But they also used IMO the tools and parts they used for thier "regular" postwar fakes.

My Deumer KvK's have another setup. Never seen them (yet) with this setup.
But the catch looks the same as used on my numbered LW GAB.

IMO the hardware on this one can be found on early S&L pieces. Seems like S&L were also making "war souvenirs" next to 57 issue stuff.
