    Numbered LW PAB

Oke, there are some nice items posted the last 2 days, so time to post something again that is one of my most beloved items.
I hope it you like it like I do.
Sorry that I don't have a picture of the back and sadly I can't anymore because my carmera let down on me, but I am looking for another camera.

        Hello my friend,

I like it even though it did not exist during the TR period and is obviously made for collectors. It is what it is!
        Happy Hunting,
        Vince

          Lovely badge Luud.
The manufacturer has however done a mistake by placing a 25 shield on the wreath of a 75/100 badge.

                Thanks Peter,

I don't have a catalogue and never saw one.
But If I look at this site they has different wreaths for the lower and higher grades for heer PAB's.
But for the LW PAB (page 17) only one wreath is listed for the numbered versions.

I know it is hard to find comparisson material, but maybe they only used this wreath for all the numbered LW PAB's?

You might be right there Luud. As far as i know these numbered Luftwaffe panzer badges was instituted in november 1944 but non was awarded. I have tried to find something that would show how a wartime piece would look but can not find anything.

It is interesting that if this is the pattern, they break the pattern used by the army.

                    Peter,

Here are some examples from a well known dealers website. This dealer is known for pumping out fakes. They can be had for about 9000 euro's each if want to buy them and study them in hand.

I personally don't believe any were awarded but I suppose it is debatable. Not awarded does not mean that some prototypes weren't made.

If they ever made a prototype, it will be very hard to pick the original between all those many fakes they made.

These LW PAB's are a little like the balloon observers and Seekampfabz.
I like them as being a 57 issued item because it is IMO the closest you can possible get to an original.

The 75 LW PAB looks like a reworked 57! Both are 100% piles.
