A Nicely Frosted and Cased EKI

Hi Gents,

I finally have a functional camera again and can post a few recent acquisitions.

Please let me hear your thoughts on this Souval EKI. The frosting is better than on my last birthday cake! The burnishing is also top shelf. Early hardware too!

The thing I question is the case. I don't know JACK about cases, but this one at least looks old. Is it wartime left over? Early 57 or just another repro?

Hi Mike.
First of all that is a Steinhauer & Lück cross in lovely condition. The case you have there is not something i would match with your 1957 cross. I fear though that it would look bad with a genuine third reich cross as well as it does not look original to me. To put it short: Cross is good. Case is bad!

Hi Mike,

I have to agree with Peter on the case. I was looking at a few I have photos of and it just did not look correct. I did not like the white/cream base either.

The cross on the other hand is a awsome S & L about as early as they come. Most likely left over TR frame too!
