These EK´s with the frame from a Deschler die seem a little rarer than the S&L´s and Deumers.
        Good catch

I have some wartime made Deschler EK's and Deschler is one of my favourite herstellers.
But these are probably the ugliest EK's with Deschler influence I have ever seen.
During wartime they made EK's that are quality wise superior to Deumer and S&L.
But postwar it is IMO a complete different story.
These crosses remind me again why I do not want to collect 57 crosses....no offence.

Can you give measurements and weight of the EK1, are these also 45mm and heavy?
And show a picture wich shows the soldering Job?
If possible I also would like to know the thickness of the backplate.

Here is a side picture of a Deschlers variant between 2 "standard" Deschlers.
It seems the hardware is the same.
This cross is still under investigation, it has just been X-rayed, but sofar everything indicates that Deschler made this cross.

hi Luud, no offence taken my friend! it would be a boring old world if we all liked the same things
The EK1 measures 45mm, and the backplate is approx. 1mm thick. i have'nt got any accurate scales for weighing it, but its quite a heavy piece!
Heres a couple of photo's of the soldering, which is neatly done, hope these help -Nigelmedals 456.jpg

              Thanks Nigel,
I am afraid that I have to get hold of a few of these Deschlers in the future for studying them in detail. Everything on these crosses scream "Deschler".

Maybe (IMO) not the nicest, but sure the most interesting 57 EK's !!!
              Take good care of them.

Not too long ago Klaus Butschek sold a 57er Deschler EK1. Did someone here manage to pick that one up?

Also: have any more Deschlers surfaced in recent months?

A quick search didn't turn any up that got their own threads, but I hoped maybe someone could direct me to any that have been found, for a personal little investigation I am working on.
                Best regards,
