Excellent pickup Nigel! The frames are finished as nicely as any 57er EK I've seen. Often they're gouged and uneven. This one looks just about perfect.

                  Very nice cross.
That case is very interesting, is this a typical 57 case?
It doesn't look like a modern production and it doesn't resamble the wartime ek1 cases I know. But it sure does look like a quality made ek1 case to me.

                    Hi Luud,

I was told by a very knowledgeable 57 collector that the 57-made cases for the EK1 should have no push-button release, and are similar to so-called wartime "halb-etuis." In Nigel's first post he wrote that he thinks this one is a leftover wartime case, and I think I agree with him, if what I have been told is correct.
                    Best regards,
                    Streptile

                      Congratulations,

Always nice to find a Minty badge in its origonal case! George is the best!

This is one of my latest additions complements of our friend George! An early DKiG!

                      My first early DK!
                      Happy Hunting,
                      Vince
