    Display idea

    Hello Gentlemen,

I have a lot of time on my hands now while I am on the mend. As you know I collect everything 57 now. Full size medals, mini medals and ribbon bars too.

I was thinking of a creative way to display them as opposed to a box full of ribbon bars, medals etc.

I came up with this idea. It is a mini riker mount which measures 4.25 inches by 3.25 inches.

    What do you think?

    My best,
    Vince

I like your mini displays. If you eventually have a lot of medals to go with the ribbon bars, that is also a nice way to display them. As you've probably already seen, I am working on a nice display of a 10-place 57er ribbon bar, to someday be complete with both WWII and 1957 medals (with the exception of the 1939 Ehrenblattspange - too expensive for me).

Here's a link to mine (scroll down to #9 to see the display as it is now):

        Hello,

That is also a great idea and a fun way to build a display around a ribbon bar. Have you thought about trying to find a WW2 ribbon bar to fill in that gap?

I have over 100 WW1/2 ribbon bars and if you let me know which one you need perhaps I can help you add it to your collection!

By chance do you know where I could locate the 1957 Herr Ehrenblattspange. I still need the Herr and the Navy ones.

        My best,
        Vince Leone

Nice combination. I personally like to display a 57 together with his wartime brother.

Maybe a stickpin would make it complete?
And I would choose for another colour background.

                Nice Vince,

As a few have mentioned, another background color would be nice. Maybe a piece of cloth in the color of a tunic on which these would have been worn?

Overall a very nice display idea.
                Best regards,
                Streptile
