    Deumer MM'd EKII

Here's a very nice #3 MM'd EKII that arrived today. A trustworthy and very knowledgable source tells me the frames are wartime Deumer's.

My camera just doesn't do well on small details, but the "3" is very legible on the solid/continous ring.

The core is a bit loose on the frames and thus has rubbed through to iron around the oak spray. You can see a bit of rust there.

As always, I'd love tohear your thoughts.

              Magnificent.

I was about to change my signature (since I just got a "4" marked S+L 57EK2) but I think I'll leave it up and hope someone offers me a "3" next!

But seriously, this is a great looking piece. Congratulations.

                    Thanks for the comments gents!

No one said they couldn't see the "3." I was a bit worried over the picture quality.

Glad to add this one to the stable!

                      Hello

A classic early Deumer new form EK It's the twin to my marked one, right down to the Deumer flaw on the 12 O'clock. These are either left over wartime frames, or made using the original wartime frame die. The use of the '3' on the ring tends to suggest that these are left over war stock, as there was no need or reason to maker mark a 57 piece.

                      Regards
                      David
