    DKis fast help needed

I have been offered this DKis.
I know the seller and he is packing his car full to go to the show in Kassel.
So I need to descide very fast to buy it. And these pictures are all I have.

I do like the case, and looks like a very early case.
But is this an early DKis worth collecting and why is the ring not black (anymore?)?
    Is the maker known?

        Buy it!!!

It's a wonderful early piece with a very nice and early case. I believe the starburst is this color because it was chemically darkened rather than painted. Still GOOD!

          Thanks Mike,
I only had 3 hours left before making my descission and than I cannot reach him anymore. But I just sended him a mail that I accepted his offer.
He already loaded it somewhere somewhere in the car, so it is going to the Kassel anyway.
But nobody will find it for sale there anymore!

Luud, looks like a decent DkiS there. I'd agree with Mike's comments on the color of the rays...sometimes they weren't always black.

                      Hello

I know I'm a bit late coming to the party (some small irritating thing called work keeps interfering with my hobbies - oops, sorry, I mean I was busy working to earn pennies to spend on my hobbies ), but I would agree that this looks like a decent and early DKiS When you get it from your friend please post a side on shot of the hinge etc.

As for the starburst, there are varying flavours, ranging from almost black through greys and the 'coppery' coloured ones such as this. Not uncommon, and can (well, I think so), look as nice, if not nicer in some instances, as the 'standard' black/grey ones. Have a look in this thread to some others:

Indeed we have to do some irritating things thatinterfere with our hobbies.
But at least we can buy somethimes a nice item for our collection
Although it is hard to spend the pennies on 57's......there are not many descent items to find.

I sended him a mail that I accepted his offer and hope he got in on tim.
I will make some descent pictures for reference when (and if) it arrives.

I recieved the cross today and tried to make some pictures.
But it is already getting dark here, so these are the only descent pictures.

Tho coppery color changes from brown to black depending on the angle of the light. I like it.
