    Rumanian crusade medal against communism

It should be a 1957 version by S&L, could this be correct?
    Any help is appreciated.

These are the best pictures I have for now.

I like it very much Luud! I believe it to be pretty rare!

It would look good on my wall!

Not sure of manufacturer. Let's get some other opinions.

I was thinking that it could be a simple postwar S&L copy because I thought it would be strange to find with 1957 items.
But than I saw you posting a case full of 1957 medals in another thread and in that case was this same medal on a spange.

So I hope someone here will know the answer, because I sure don't !

          Hello

It's a very nice looking item, but not one that I have ever seen, or can find, on any list of officially authorised 57 new form items. I may be wrong, but I don't believe that this is a 57 piece per se. What it is, apart from being a Rumanian anti communist medal, I don't know. Perhaps something made for Rumanians (an old comrades organisation?) exiled in Germany or wherever after the end of the war?

          Regards
          David

            Thanks David,

Same thoughts here. I don't know enough from 57 awards, but thought it was not very logical that a 57 medal like this had been made.
On the search for wartimers I couldn't find a match.
I will keep it in my undescided box, Luckily I didn't pay much for it.

I took apicture with blacklight and I got a been there feeling!

I had the same visual sight as I had last week when I approached a landing strip in the middle of the night

Hi Luud, as David mentioned, this is not listed in list of re issue/made pieces. Interesting one, though.

                I just found this group.
So if this is not listed on any list of officially authorised 57 new form items.
Why do they show up in a group like this?

And another group, not sure if it belonged to the same person, but same medal inside!
                    I am confused

I know that grouping Luud. I was recently offered this grouping and all the medals in it came from a Stuka Pilot, RK winner. He was awarded the Romanian medal.

The photos of the previous grouping you posted very clearly show the Romanian medal on the mans medal bar and mini bar. Pretty clear evidence that the Romanian medal, while not listed on the "Bundesrepublik Deutschland ab 1957 gemäß Gesetz über Titel, Orden und Ehrenzeichen vom 26.07.1957" was apparently awarded and displayed in New Form 57 wear.

Pretty interesting stuff Luud! You always make us think!
