    Hello to you in Slovenia!

It's a bit difficult to tell from the pictures, but the cross appears to be a piece of modern production, with the core painted after assembly. Is the core magnetic? I would guess that it is not.

It is impossible to tell much about the OLS from the pictures, but from the description you provide, it cannot be a piece produced by an authorized manufacturer.

You really need to take a photo of the cross "straight-on", instead of always at an angle.

This LOOKS like a 2nd pattern core S&L '57 version, but it is impossible to tell from these shots.

The set is from a modern production.

Thanks for the in-put Peter. I am no expert on these items, and Gasper was curious, so we posted pics to see.

What would be market value for this piece?

                    Cheers

For a modern set ... 100-150 € ??? No idea what these are going for the moment ....

Right Mathijs. They often sell for the amount you suggest and even more. I wouldn't pay that much for one. There are so many nicer, earlier pieces to invest in, why spend hard earned money on these?

While they can be affordable, I'd shy away from this type altogether, and wait for an earlier piece. They're much more collectible.

Indeed so Mike, why waste 100 € or more on modern production. If you spend a "little bit" more, you can easily find a nice early 2nd pattern.

Of course, if you have cash to burn, go for the 1st pattern of course .
