Haven´t seen such a loop eye on a Schickle, the inner corners are round.....painted after assembly !?
Have you got better pics to judge? Frosting is IMO unusual too....
Agree with all that Rudiger says, it could be the lighting thats making the frame look very "white"?? The frame does'nt seem to have any die flaws, but possibly the corner cuts usually found on much later S & L 2nd pattern RK's, and, worryingly, also on Morigi fakes.
Would love to see more pics of this one!!

To me the RK looks like a standard early S&L.

Well spotted, Luud ... another cased "B" frame S&L RK .... I was trying to get another Schickle, but that buyer did not budge ... So I got myself this one instead.

Adding some better pictures .... nicely frosted ... frame flaws better visible ...

Aaaah THAT is much better to see, thanks for the additional pics Mathijs.

I was screwed by the paint on the beading that made the inner corners look "round" and with the now visible flaws everything is still perfect. The loop eye is the drilled out and well finished one....good shot, Mathijs.
Interesting that the piece has less flaws but the core seems to be painted after assembly. I would have expected painting before assembly on such a very early one but still a very nice piece.

The oaks are Souval ones? I think i read somewhere that these extremely curved oaks are made postwar by Souval.

One more a great addition for our RK king......

Eagle eye Luud, how could you see that on the pices before?????
Maybe with now near to 45years i have to think about some glasses for my tired old eyes

Indeed it is a nice piece!! It was the lighting i think (my excuse!!) that made it look odd!!
Interesting Oaks too, all in all, a nice set, yet another for your collection Mathijs!!!
