Nevermind ... just got word from the seller " I lost your piece whilst moving to a new place, cant find it anymore - you will get full refund and extra 5 € for your trouble " ... seems some-one went behind my back an offered more then what I had already paid for it ....

Sorry to hear you're not going to get this one Mathijs, it really sucks when something like that happens
It could be true, but it sounds more likely that someone offered a better price??
Keep looking, i hope you find another nice one soon!! -Nigel

IMO this is to be called a fake piece ... frontside not too bad, but backside is f*ugly !

Seems they are filling up the open hinge block now to come across as earlier piece ...

Interesting piece Mathijs, not one i've seen before, like you said, front side not looking too bad, but the reverse is a .....nono.gif
                  Is the marking "800"???

Indeed, it has an 800 mark on the pin ... I originally thought is was a conversion of an Imperial EK1, but then I saw the hardware ... no way that is original. I assume we are looking at yet another attempt to fool collectors ...
If that was on Ebay with just the front picture and a bit blurry, I guess most of us would have bid on it .

Does this one qualify as 57er ???? Its not in the list ....

Nice looker Mathijs!! I think the Red Cross awards reverted back to their pre Nazi designs, so its probably not in the list, as it was'nt a "new" design??
Anyway looks like a nice early S & L judging by the hardware!!
Grab it i say (if you have'nt already) they dont turn up too often!!

Thanks for the info, Nigel. Havent bought it, its not my collection area ... I'll stay with my RK's and DKiG's ...

                          Was only wondering ....

Hi guys, this one is for sale somewhere ( but way overpriced ).

I'm not 100% sure about this one being earliest made frame ... IMO looks like a the 1st "C" frame without the 9 o'clock bleeding flaw.
I cant see any indication or flaws to make it a "B" frame ... what say you .

I too would say that we have here the C-frame. Note that the ring is dipping into the frame and all other well known flaws are missing.

hee? Funny, that RK looks very familiar.
I know that the buyer didn't have such a good pictures of this RK when he made a deal with other stuff and bought this RK.
IMO a very nice RK that gets from a broken convolut of this interesting general:
                                http://www.ww2awards.com/person/7705
In 57 form there were only this RK (oaks were wartime), the KvK1 and an IAB.
I have no idea if there have been more 57's that have been split before.
The Seller of this RK has still a few more items for sale from him.
