I agree it's bad, but also think it's pretty dangerous.

We've seen these MM'd 57 DK's before, and it looks like someone has been busy with the sandpaper again to give it some age! So i think its.........icon_booboo.gif

I had some money left over from Santa ( hohoho ), so I took a gamble on buying this one ...

What say you .... you think it might stand a chance of being an early one ?

I have a similar hardware setup on my Pilot Badge and that one is mid production ( still with closed hinge block ) ...

              Hi Mathijs,

You did well on this one. I happen to know it has a solid hinge block and it has a narrow catch, so I say the lart part of early period or early part of the mid-period. A nice example, minty even, of a not so frequently seen badge!

              I give it and a !

                Hello

Looks good to me I guess late 1960's maybe just into the very early 1970's.

                Regards
                David

I'm quite happy with that, you guys. I've been looking for a long time for a nice 57er P/O badge ... I hope I can add its wartime buddy as well.

This is a genuine EK1 marked L/11 ... no problem with that. But .... a dealer is asking 229 Euro for it ... are some of these guys going mental or what .

                            Very nice one
I think you are right with mid 60s.
Hollow rivets, not the wartime eagle with cut off swaz and the pin are my points to date it.
