Opinion needed on two RK

Hi guys,

I have found a nice man who wants to sell me either ( or both ) these RK.
As with any prior purchase in this area, your input is highly appreciated.
Price indication would also be nice .... my gut feeling says the 1st one.

Cross one : Magnetic / 800 stamped in loop
Cross two : Non - magnetic - no markings

This is an easy one! Go for the magnetic core RK, if you're looking for a 2nd pattern style.

hi matthieu, i would go for the one with magnetic core, it should be the earlier of the two. they are both nice, but 2nd pattern, if you only want one rk, i would hold out for a first pattern, but thats just me! if you intend to buy several, then why not start with one of these...go for it! -nigel

Both are second core pattern new form RKs. So if it was me, I'd go for the magnetic cored, '800' loop marked one, assuming, as has already been said, that you are looking for second pattern and not an early first pattern one.

Buy the first RK with the magnetic core, if you can´t wait and if the price is good. If you have a little bit more money, i would wait for a first pattern RK from St.&L or better from Schickle. The highlight for a 57er collector.
Last week i could get a first pattern Steinhauer RK but my money was empty and now it´s been sold

Well Jason .... I have to admit the 2nd one also ended up in my collection .

They have a real appearance of wear from use. Most are minty, andthese two dont look like they just came out of stores (by stores i mean supply inventory). Wich manufacturer would you say made these w german dipping ring models? They did have dipping ring versions that were authentic during the war. Both seem nice , and now you can buy all the variants eventually. Good for you.
