          Hello

          A nice, and interesting piece. The pin and hinge point to this being an early made item, but the glued on eagles head suggests a slightly later (eg later early or early mid made, if you follow what I mean) piece. I say this as my understanding is that the very early made versions of this badge were made in the same manner as their WW2 counterparts, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

                Very nice stuff George. You'e got us all green with envy!

                The quality and hardware of the recon bar certainly say early piece, but the glue is a bit puzzling.

                  FYI - I have a short range fighter clasp is gold that also has no rivet. I'll need to take a look at that this weekend to see how it was attached.
