    1957 reissue Pilot/Observers badge.

Hi Guys, I do not normally collect 1957 reissue peices, but I liked the look of this peice. I presume this is one of the earlier made peices as the quailty is good? Can this one be attributed to any one maker?

    Cheers, Ade.

        Hi Adrain,

Looks like a nice badge but the design of the eagle doesn't really ring a bell in relation to any of the pre-war makers I know of.

The eagle looks like brass or tomback with a finish applied...I would one day like to find out how many makers made the 57 issues.

Hi Guys, bringing this old thread back up as I need some advice on the value of this badge as I am thinking of selling it. Very rare for me to part with anything! I hate asking for values but I am stuck on this one.

It is a nice early issue item.

              Thanks.

              Cheers, Ade.

                Hi Adrian!!
Does the badge have an "open" or solid hingeblock, that will help to date it, while the quality does look good, the catch looks to be of the thicker type usually assosciated with pieces from the late 60's onwards!!

Hi Nige, thanks. The hingeblock is the open type.

I have owned the badge for about 30 years.

                  Cheers, Ade.

Between 40-60 Euro, I would assume.
