Hello everyone,
Here is a side-by-side comparison of an early Deumer EK1 (1957) and one that was manufactured recently by Steinhauer & Lück.
DEUMER: Highly polished frame edges, frosted silver beading, 3-piece construction, magnetic core, wide pin, core finished before assembly. Superior in every way.
Modern S&L: Sandblasted look on the entire frame and reverse, 3-piece construction, non-magnetic core, thin pin, core paint applied after assembly. An inferior, non-pleasing cross.
