    Hello

It looks like a good, first model S&L RK to me. I wouldn't pay any attention to who it may (or may not) be attributed to. Judge the item, not the story. But, in my opinion, a decent early 1st model RK.

    Regards
    David

Well the story isnt a deciding fact for me. I just want a KC for my collection and this one looks good. I've seen some 57's that have runny paint and its also on the frame. They look like a 14 yr old made it at craft time in summer camp.

JR, I'd agree with David on this being a 1st type, but I'd add that it's a very late 1st type at that. The beading is really gone to hell on this work die, and the finishing/frosting on the frames is not the best. This particular RK has been listed a few times already on goof-e-bay.

oh really interesting. Why does it keep getting relisted? Did it get any bids in its previous listings?

I think it's because no one is ready and willing to pay the Reserve Price.
The RK is an early model, and compared to many others seen on E-Bay and on dealer sites, it's a pretty nice example. BUT not worth what he wants for it.

There are still good early 57s out there, though they are getting a little scarcer than just a couple years ago. Bid on this one if you want to, it's a good cross (even I have it on my watch list) but don't buy in to the high dollar feeding frenzy. Be realistic in your mas bid. If you don't win, fret not there will always be more

I'll wait until day 7 and see what the price goes up too. I've seen some really nice Souval post war KC's in e-stand. So I'm sure one of those will pop up at the right time also.

Good idea. The 57s occasionaly show up on the e-stand as well.

I merged your thread with this one as it is the same cross.
