Although not a 57-issue, any idea about the timeframe for this set?
cheers
Peter
Hello
There are no 57 versions of the oakleaves, because as they didn't display the swastika they were never banned from wear. Therefore they didn't to be replaced by a de-nazified version.
S&L carried on making oaksleaves, pressumably for both the collectors market and veterans who required replacements of their originals for whatever reason. Some of them, from 1957 onwards, started appearing with the new 57 RKs. This set, as Peter (Wiking) states, appears to be a nice, very early set, (in terms of 57 items). Certainly a set I'd be very pleased to have in my 57 collection. Let me know if you ever decide to sell them.

Hi David,
I believe this is what I said in my first post . I'm also aware of the intense discussion regarding semantics, but I chose not to participate as I comprehend both views presented. Nice to know it's an early reproduction though. And sure, I'll keep you in mind, but I doubt I'll let it go
