    cheers
Yes. Your 7 latest pieces is not god. They are made today. Very sorry to be a bringer of bad news. When the original manufacturers as St&L and Deumer made their 1957 badges they took a feinzink or tombak plate, 3mm to 4mm thick and placed between the dietools. The plate was then struck under high pressure. This give you a badge with crisp details on the obverse and smoth reverse with no pitting just as the wartime pieces. Your badges is blurred on the obverse with soft details. The reverse of your badges is very pitted. Your badges is either injecktion moulded or casted. Not struck.

      Hello

Carsten, I'm sorry but I have to agree with Peters assement of these pieces. I thought at first that the close combat clasp might have something going for it, but I fear that it is in the same category as the others.

You can find the occasional, good, decent 57 item on E-Bay, just as you can find the occasional good 1939 - 45 piece, but most that is offered is junk - or at best the very late production pieces. Watch the dealers sites and the e-stand on here as 57 items do come up, and probably more often than you might think. Go for the really early stuff, (hard to find, I know), or at the least the pieces made in approximately the first ten years. Most importantly, where possible, post pictures of the items on here before buying them and get opinions on them. We aren't perfect and we are only human, so sometimes we will get it wrong, but in the main we will be able to help and point you in the right direction with sound advice.

      Regards
      David

I believe the "maker" of the case is really just a recycle symbol with the three arrows going in a circle. Not sure what they call it in Denmark.

          hELLO,

I am of the same opinion. I hope you are not buying from the seller "marlies" in ebay, as he sells the whole time special items as different orders with diamonds in the 57 shape. All of them are copies. THe are also a lot of Knight Crosses in "real silver" that are sold. I don't know if its real silver, but they are one piece crosses and for sure copies.

It is not so easy to find good 57-60 pieces, adn they use to be not so cheap!
          Regards
          Carlos
