57 EK1 Using What Appear To Be Wartime Parts

I've just received this 57 EK1. It is of three piece construction and has what appears to be a war time pin, hinge and catch assembly. The frame is of good quality, with well silvered rims.

As usual, any comments or observations appreciated.

Great piece David- it looks like they used the original Deumer frame and setup.
I'll attach pics of a similar one, which i got once direct out of the bearers estate.

Thanks for the comments. That's a nice early 57 EK1 you had there Heinrich.

I too thought it was a Deumer, and was in the middle of comparing it to my L/11 marked 57 EK1, which it matches. It seems that Deumer, or someone using left over Deumer parts, produced a lot of the very early EK1s.

I'll post some pics of the maker marked one soon, once I've photographed it, ( I have got a couple of shots of it but they aren't the best).
