    Opinions please...

    Hello Gentlemen,

I posted this in the wound badge forum however only had one opinion. Could this WK1 verwundetenabzeichen be an S&L version? Your thoughts and opinions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Marcus

I will compare the screwback with my S&L EK1's, and see if it is a match, i would imagine they would use the same style of screwback disc on all such pieces!!

        Thanks Nigel,

Indeed they look very much alike, if not identical. To your knowledge on the subject, did S&L manufacture the WK1 VA post WW2, and if so how common would this be?

          Hello Marcus!
S&L did make such badges in the post WW2 period, but it is a different design, or at least the ones i have seen were, different shaped leaves on the wreath etc.
The paint finish on the badge you showed, does'nt look typical for S&L,...also looking closely at the screw post it appears thicker than that on my EK1?
So for me, this is'nt an S&L
