    Another WW1 EK1 w spange

Looks like a nice early piece to me, what are your thoughts?

Yes another S&L late EK1 with spange. This is unusual as the spange appears to be directly affixed to the EK1. I like it. It looks like a very clean join and the hinge block appears to be moved upwards slightly to the join. This must have been done directly at S&L as there are no marking under the hinge block indicating it was removed from the piece in order to alter it.

A very nice find and unusual find albeit a late production.

Nice, maybe I can get a 2nd one, I’ll be posting 2 more from this guy, he specifically sells ww1 and post WW2 items from ST&L and all of the items I have asked About from him have checked out.

These pieces were made around 1970 by S&L for the collectors market, there appears to be no real .differences in the pieces, pointing to only one main production run .
Because they are later pieces many people ignore them, but they are actually nice pieces, and are'nt that common these days...I'd go for it if you can get it for a decent price!!!

          I don’t see many WW1 EK1’s w spanges. He’s got an EK2 with spange on an Austrian trifold. Also a 1957 EK1 screwback
