1st class spange to the EK1 on a EK2 ribbon. They do not belong together. This spange would have been worn directly above the WW1 EK1. The EK2 spange has prongs on the rear to afix it to the EK2 ribbon.

Yes I realize its a 57er version however the pin back version of the spange is worn pined above the ww1 ek1. The spange that is shown has a pin and not prongs. The prong version would be attached to the ribbon denoting that this individual was the holder of the WW1 EK2 and subsequently awarded the WW2 EK2.
Its a nice S&L, as already said, a 1st class, but i have a 1st class on the ribbon of an Imperial style EK2, that came from a veteran, so it did happen!!!
