    EK2 / St&L

    Hello Guys,

This cross seemed to suffer well. Is this an St&L with probably replaced eyelet?

    Magnetic example by the way.

    Thanks.

Wow.....again I have never seen such "wear" on an EK2...did this come from the same source as the Minesweeper badge??
The suspension loop is original, for a time they were made of thin bronze wire, and often attached at a crooked angle!!

      Thanks Nigel,

I bought this cross as a "repro" of a WW2 Iron Cross..... anyways I thought that the eyelet is not original.

May I ask, what was the time period they used this type of eyelet? By the way it is not coming from the same source with the Minesweeper Badge.

Perhaps the veteran went back to combat after 1957..... joining to his ally Hiroo Onoda... sorry, bad joke.

        Hi Andrew!!
I'll have to have a look at some of my EK2's, but I believe this type is quite early!!
