The Grand Cross you are showing is a postwar St&L Cross.
St&L made all the Grand Cross variants from 1813-1939 as a display and for collectors. Some of the 1939 Grand Crosses made during the war, were used in period shop window displays.

Looks like St&L, but better pictures are needed ... I don't like the pitting on the core ....

The core is magnetic. Or workpiece defect or corrosion.

This type of pitting on the core is perfectly normal for the 1914 S&L GK core. Mine is identical.

Indeed, not pitting, its bubbling, also identical to my copy I used to own.

Is there a catalog or other confirmation that S&L produced these crosses in the 1960s? Is the circulation known?

Did S&L do it exactly? There is such an opinion. And the production period is 20-40 years.
