Miniature pin of the small battle unit combat clasp

While browsing through a bunch of my 1957 items today, I came across this neat miniature pin of the small battle unit combat clasp. Actually it looks more like the prototype of the small battle unit combat clasp. I imagine not many of these pins were made, as I can‘t remember seeing one.

This is probably the third small unit battle stickpin I've seen...but all three were different in design. Makes me wonder if there was just no prescribed style and firms did their own designs
