    1st Class Silesian Eagle

Firstly a big thank you to Andrew, for his excellent service, allowing me to but this Silesian Eagle by S&L!!
I have had the enamel type for some time, but never bought the bronze variant, so i'm really happy to have this nice example, in excellent condition....
It has the 2nd style pin, thin catch and solid hingeblock, it should be an early to mid 60's piece.......

A quick compare with the enamel type.....
Both are from a similar period, but notice the difference in the placement of the hinge, and the corresponding length of the pin!!

          Hey Nigel,

fantastic bronze Silesian Eagle. A wonderful variant
Even as a collector of postwar made imperial pieces, it keeps amazing me to see, how large St&L‘s imperial postwar offering was.
This is the third type of Silesian Eagle that St&L made postwar.
It‘s really a collection field of it‘s own.

          Regards,
          Alex
