EK1, Deumer, L/11, but...

Hello,
I want to present a new member of my collection.

On the first view nothing special, a worn Iron Cross 1st class, made by Deumer, stamped L/11.

On the second view, it is a realy rare piece ...

It has the L/11 wartime stamp on the backplate and not the type, where the horizontal lines of the box surrounding the L/11 mark extend off to the left, that is much more common on 57er.

Very nice Deumer...and a scarce one!!!
As you said, most L/11 marked Deumer's have the postwar mark, this is one of three variants that have a wartime mark, through use of wartime leftovers!
The others are L/11 on the backplate with no surrounding box, and L/11 on the pin!!

It came in a little grouping with a Deumer pilot badge and some miniatures.
