Imperial style Deumer EK2

I bough this Deumer EK2 in the Imperial style a while ago, it came with a non-combatant ribbon, but it was a very short length in poor condition...
Since then I have been looking to buy a suitable replacement ribbon, and thanks to Henk (WAF member Green) I got a nice length of ribbon to finish off the medal!!!!

10 Years of study and research Andrew.....oh, and it has a "3" handily stamped on the ribbon ring!!!!
Seriously.....it has the same frame as the Deumer 57 EK2 complete with "lug" where the suspension loop is soldered to the frame, it also has the same core as the Imperial style Deumer EK1, some of which are also MM'd L/11.
When seen side by side the Imperial style EK's from S&L and Deumer are quite different, in both core and frame!!

That’s the beauty of these postwar replacements, they match their 57er contemporaries in all but the core. Glad I scored some of Green’s non combatant ribbon too. As good as his KvK RK ribbon

What a beauty it is..
The Ek2 on a non-combat ribbon always stands out for me. Especially in a group of regular combat ribbon Ek2.
Makes me want to see some group shots

You just have to love them...
