    Souval Wound Badge in Silver

    Gents,

This seems an interesting example to me. No doubt it is a denazified piece but my question: is this a factory finish or...?

    Thanks.

Looks to me like a corroded badge that someone spray painted silver.

      I agree with Todd's description...
I imagine it was a zinc piece that had pretty much lost its original finish and someone has sprayed it silver..
The finish looks too thick for a factory finish, it might be worth considering removing it, back to the zinc and any original finish that still remains

Paint remover will sort it, though it may have been sprayed up by the person who removed the swaz, a vet may be? I can't imagine a collector trying to convert it to a 57er, a vet might though.
