    I saw this for sale in a local military shop. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the reverse. From this picture can anyone tell who the maker is and if it is an early example? Thanks, Ron.

      I would think it was an S&L piece??
      It has an enamel rather than painted red ring, but that only rules out a much later made piece!
      Could be 60's??
      Looks genuine anyway!!!!

        The proof is in the back ... but seeing the front, stands a good chance of being early / mid production - what were they asking for it ?
