What ever happened to this B-25?

https://youtu.be/TxV6kbydpW4 This is a link to the movie Sole Survivor. What ever happened to this B-25. I saw it on display as a kid when it was at the old Cars of Stars, Planes of Fame when they were in Buena Park back in the 70's.

Cool movie, too, as I recall.
I remember reading that the producers of the series "The Twilight Zone" purchased a B-25 Bomber for use in one of the early episodes that was called "King 9 Will Not Return". As I recall, they bought the B-25 in 1959 for about $2,000.

Unfortunately it was scrapped, but I could not determine what year.

The Aircraft-Spotter's Film and Television Companion says a fiberglass mock-up was built from molds made off 44-30979. I have no idea what as on display at Buena Park-- the metal plane or studio mock-up.

Thanks for the info, that sucks they scrapped it. The detail on the Buena Park bird looks like the real deal. As a kid it looked good to me, but that was a long, long time ago.

"King Nine" was on SyFy as part of a TZ marathon over the New Year. As best as I can tell that bird is around in parts in storage. Both story's have there roots in the Lady Be Good story.

The story of Lady Be Good fascinated me when I was a kid building models of WW2 bombers and I read about her.
