    WW1 Wound certificate

I have this certificate to a guy from the 167th Infantry and I can't find him on the unit roster. I'm guessing he was a replacement. I'd like to find out when and where he was wounded. Thanks.

The recipient has an uncommon last name, so you may want to try ancestry.com......I think you will need the serial number of his 1932 Purple Heart to request his AGO card....There may be somebody on this forum who has an ancestry.com account and may be able to find your information for you...If not, there are people who will research the guy for a fee....Bodes

He joined the 167th Infantry on August 20, 1918, and was wounded on September 14. You will have to research the 42nd Division/167th Infantry to determine where that might have been.

      Nice certificate!

        Yes.

The wound is likely related to St. Mihiel.
