    Helmet ID Please

    I would like to know if this helmet is a US Military helmet, or another variation Please.

    It's a so-called "Kelly helmet", an American M1917 shell upgraded in the 1930's with a new liner and chinstrap, used in the early stages of WW2.

        Referred to as an m-1917a1 helmet....Some were modified WW1 Brodie or doughboy helmets, while others were new made prior to the start of WW2....The one shown is the latter....This is identified by the heat lot number (4B) stamped inside the rim....This type of stamping was carried over into the manufacturing of the WW2 M1 helmet shells....Bodes
