Hello folks. A flea market find, can anyone shed some light on this decal / insignia, which appears on both sides of a 'nam era M1 officer's (2nd Lt.) helmet liner? The decal appears on both sides, and is intersected by a red stripe. The 2nd Lt.s bar appears as a gold decal at the front. Is it military, academy, or??? Thanks in advance.
