Letter "P" on airbone chinstrap

I am looking for a paratrooper chinstrap from the Vietnam era I have seen the blank chinstrap hardware and the one with the anchor stamped on the hardware All I have seen for sale has the letter "P"stamped on the hardware. Was this paratrooper chinstrap have been worn on helmets issued during the Viet Nam war? Thank you for your time

Perhaps you should post a photo of the chinstrap in question......They had ones listed on ebay at one time, calling them out as WW2 era.....I think in reality, those were from the Vietnam era....Don't recall what was on the hardware though......Bodes
