Hello!

I have an atavistic doubt: wich is the difference between the black plug (PL-54) and the red one (PL-354) mounted on the ANB-H-1 headphones? They was both used on flight helmet?

The pl-354 (red plug) has a shorter plug and is a faster disconect than the pl-54 (black plug). The pl-354 is found on flight helmets and the pl-54 is found on anb-h-1 head sets or the cable extensions that plug into a jack box with the pl-354 plugged into the extention.

The only time that happens is early war bomber groups. Waist gunners had the B-4 flight helmet. They wore the ANB-H-1 head set over the B-4 and pilots of bombers would ware the ANB-H-1 head sets over crushers, barracks caps or ball caps at lower altitudes. Radio operators also used that configuration.
